Wilson County

You'll feel at home in Wilson County's unique communities.

Welcome To Wilson County

Wilson County sits just east of Nashville and is ideally located between two beautiful Middle Tennessee Lakes, offering easy access to the best of Middle Tennessee. The county has grown in recent years thanks to not only its affordability but also its friendly business climate. Though mostly rural, the county is home to two major cities — Mt. Juliet and Lebanon — each with its personality.

For a more suburban feel with easy access to your favorite retail and restaurant options, Mt. Juliet might be a great fit. For more history and small-town charm, Lebanon is also an option. There are many communities within Wilson County with unique characteristics to make you feel at home.

Lebanon

Located less than an hour to the east of downtown Nashville in Wilson County, Lebanon is a sprawling community surrounding a traditional town square. It was incorporated in 1801, making it one of the oldest communities in the state and similar in style to Columbia and Franklin. Many large companies call Lebanon home, including Cracker Barrel and Dell, as well as Cumberland University, a private, four-year college.

Mount Juliet

Located less than 20 miles east of Downtown Nashville in western Wilson County, Mount Juliet sits between two national east-west routes, Interstate 40 and U.S. Route 70, better known as Lebanon Road.

Known as an affordable, clean, and prosperous community, Mount Juliet has grown tremendously in recent years, both in terms of the number of residents and in business growth. It is speculated that the town’s name, the only one like it in the United States, pays homage to a manor home of the same name in Kilkenny, Ireland.
